Weavers of Light - Are you Adima?

The Story

An ancient race of creatures mass to take over the world. 13-year-old Rory discovers, to his horror, only he stands between the vicious energy suckers and total conquest. His choice – do nothing and be torn apart or attempt to live through four impossible challenges, then fight an army of the beasts.
He and his new friends have four weeks to save the world or die trying. Guided by a 5,000-year-old Native American spirit, they travel the web of light across time and space, facing fiery snakes, buffalo stampedes and an island ripped apart by a volcanic explosion. The nearer their goal, the greater the dangers and obstacles that threaten to destroy them. Only by learning their inner strengths and working as one do they have a chance.

A Book From Nature and the spirits of Adima

In 2009, I began talking with Heather Valencia. What started as a reading of cards and chart, opened a doorway into another world. One of my first visions came shortly after leaving Heather's house. I saw an ancient city in the Americas where people had begun to give over their sacred duties to a priest. It was a matter of convenience. From small acts, greater and greater problems arose. One day, a priest and his assistant climbed to the top of a pyramid and, by mischance, the assistant fell. The priest, in fear, claimed guidance from god drove the act and from this much greater, sadder mistake, came centuries of death. I saw and felt this moment when the mistake was made.
From that time, I began to see more scenes. I also began to "hear" a voice of a spirit. At the same time, I was also introduced to Machael Wright's work at Perelandra and her very down-to-earth approach to talking with energies who were not there. Her view of co-creation describes very well what seemed to be happening to me (although I have never spoken with her and she in no way has vetted my work or this book). The spirit, who called himself Elicha, began to guide me, to tell me stories. Of course, at this point, after the fact, it sounds much more coherent than it did at the time. I began to write a book, fictionalizing some of the lessons. As I wrote, I learned. Often, when the world was too complex, I would form a coning (see perelandra-ltd.com for an explanation) with Elicha, the deva of the book and others. Much of the work was co-created with Nature this way. It was not a wonderful experience. It was more like what I assume childbirth to be like - sometimes wonderful, often gut wrenching, completely overwhelming. I just wanted it to end, but was told I had to finish the book, that some of the messages in the book were very important to get out. I couldn't stop. By June, 2010, the draft was complete. Now, over a year later, with nearly 50,000 words less, a much tighter book is ready for the world. I have tried to release it through traditional publishing, but have been unsuccessful. Nature continues to tell me that the messages need to get out. So, I am going to fulfill my duty through epublication. I have no idea, at this point, if anyone will read the book or when. If anyone gets a copy of this and has anything to say, comment, finds a mistake, has a question... anything. I have set up a website with a blog and discussion board. It is weaversoflight.net. If you find it useful or entertaining, let me know.

I started this book not wanted to talk about this spiritual journey. It seemed too hippy/guruy. However, I've decided to come out of the closet, as it were and speak the truth. The kids in the book did it. I certainly can hope to be as brave as them. This world is not a joyous romp for me this time around. However, it is an experience, a learning, an adventure. I will share with the others when I Return.

Gay Friendly

Some have called the book gay-themed because Rory has two dads. It is no more gay themed than it is Japanese American themed, because James and his family came to America 150 years ago or is African American themed because Tima and her mom are African Americans. The book is about living a creative, active life and the choices we have - to actively weave the web of light, to sit and let life wash over us, or to suck energy. It is a book about living for the learning and experience and not fearing death as anything more than a part of the adventure. As Arnelea says, it is no more than walking from one room to another.

The book is spiritual themed and life themed. It is my hope that the ethnicity and orientation of the characters is not important, but their decisions and actions are.
